The MAA is a proud member of the Green Industry Alliance. Working with the association’s legislative agents Stephen Boksanski and Warren Lent, we promote awareness and educate the Commonwealth’s elected officials, as well as the general public on best practices, standards, and scientific research in arboriculture, integrated pest management, lawn care and turfgrass maintenance, sustainable landscape design, irrigation, green space stewardship, and more.

In addition to the MAA, the Green Industry Alliance members include the Massachusetts Association of Landscape Professionals (MALP), Cape Cod Landscape Association (CCLA), Massachusetts Association of Lawn Care Professionals (MALCP), and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of New England (GCANE).

Senate Bill 920
“An Act Ensuring Tuition Equity at the Stockbridge School of Agriculture”

This bill is currently before the Joint Committee on Ways and Means. Timely support is essential.

If passed, this bill will add Stockbridge’s 2-year associate’s degree to the state’s no-cost community college law (M.G.L. Chapter 15A, Section 5B), making the program more competitive and accessible for eligible students.

The impact is clear:

  • Boost enrollment in landscape and urban forestry programs at Stockbridge
  • Strengthen our workforce pipeline
  • Protect the future of Massachusetts’ green industry

Please take 2 minutes today to contact your State Senator and ask them to support S.920.

A quick message from you can make all the difference at this stage.
